Smoke No More.

13 09 2008

This is what I have to do to protect myself from secondhand smoke. Sometimes we have to take responsibilities for ourselves. If we let others take care of us, even the ones closest to us, we’ll end up been hurt and not taken care of at all, and worse of all being exposed to harm.

Smoking harms, not only to yourself but your loved ones. It can even break family ties. It can kills relationship. A smoker can harm others even when he/she doesn’t have the intention too.

Just by spending a day with a heavy smoker, I’d difficulty breathing, and my clothes are stained with smoke odour. Even breathing is hard, it’s worse than death which doesn’t need to breathe at all.

It can drive people away from, and don’t even know why, and thinks that others are bad, unfaithful, heartless for leaving the smoker, while the smoker lits a cigarette, smoking away all the time, and driving people away after every puff.

Smoking is not fun, social smoking is a ‘lame excuse’, serious smoking is plain foolishness. It’s getting more and more expensive. Even if you want to smuggle it in, you can no longer do it. Government is having an all-out battle against smuggled cigarettes. Each stick of cigarette will be marked with a sticker, signifying duty-paid.

If you smoke, please think again before you light your next stick. If you don’t, keep it that away for good.
