Chalet with the Macphersonians! (Class N3D)

28 10 2008

Went to Downtown East chalet yesterday! The same one as the UG Camp Instructors’. Hanging out with all 15 year olds, and in a situation where I’m the oldest! HAHA! We spent the night watching dvds! I brought Happy Feet! Luckily for me we didn’t hang out outside instead as I was very tired after working in the morning till afternoon at mac. And you know, when you go to ECP Mac on a public holiday… So I dozed off while watching the dvd halfway. Anyway, chalet’s fun! The students are great!

Photos will be uploaded soon!

UG Camp Instructors Chalet Oct 2008

15 10 2008

The weekend totally rock! Chalet on Friday. UG Camp Instructors’ Gathering @ Downtown East! My best chalet experience! We watched House Bunny on the first night. And surprisingly, it’s not just an ordinary chick flick! The message behind it has a purpose; to remind us of something so basic that we’d forgotten about it. And its humour is good! Worth the watch. Go catch it soon if you hadn’t!

On the second day we went to the beach and E!Hub. Evening we had bbq! Soon after, they got me and Joshua a birthday surprise! And we got some down and dirty fun! Imagine ten guys having a bottle of plastic party spray preying over the birthday boys, followed by water bombs! You’ll get the idea when the photos’ are posted. Well, consider this my first birthday party! We played Taboo! for the whole night till morning!

These people are wonderful. They don’t smoke, drink (maybe they do?), talk vulgar (erm, perhaps a little). They’re capable leaders, disciplined and dedicated. Most importantly I get to see firsthand, the motion of love going on between them; not of romance but of; Brotherhood, Sisterhood; BFFs, Friendship, True Comaraderie. It withdraws me from any worries, fear or whatever that’s negative. Perhaps that opens me up to true happiness. Warm-hearted feeling. And that maybe the thing that gives me the energy to go to work on sunday morning. I had to leave earlier and I couldn’t had breakfast with them. I was tired at work, having without sleep for the past 24 hours then. However, there’s this source of enthusiasm that keeps me on the ball.

Anyway, I controlled my diet! Although I bbq-ed those meaty stuff; hotdog, crab meat, satay (my fav!), lamp chop (my fav!), stingray and stuff, I didn’t ate them! But I ate quite a few corns and potatoes! I bought not any ordinary corn but sweet corn! I tried it raw and it’s nice and sweet! Oh, I love to bbq marshmallows! It literally melts in my mouth!

Swee Keow was the organiser of this chalet. Thank you! There’s Gregory whose like my big brother and he’s always funny no matter with which clique. Junie whose like my big sister and on friday night, when I was sleeping with my head facing down, Joshua entered the chalet and thought that the one sleeping was Junie!

Desiree and Zhi Sheng, my beloved VI juniors who gave me a present! Its a nice smooth Parker Pen with my name encraved on it. Ambrose Sir was there and I’m glad to see him again! Joshua was there with his good friend, Asvin, who was an ex-Macpherson! Joshua and I have similar interest and ambition. Perhaps we can enroll together into a foreign university for psychology! Fann Howe the Frog was there too, who was also a relief teacher this holiday. Bryan, the funny guy makes my day. Eng Swee was there but didn’t get to talk to him. Fifi was there too.

And there’s this ’special guest’ whom Junie and Swee Keow bought, Jiemin, who’s Girl Guides (sometimes pronounced as “Girls Guide”, heheheh) Contingent Commander for NDP 08! So ironic, saw her every saturday for 5 months and didnt talk to her for once, until now. A nice friend, cute girl and glad to know her. Much in common and click with her well.

I’m looking foward to our next gathering in December! Anyone volunteering to organise? And of course, the next UG Camp!

End of Week 6

14 10 2008

The week was a blast for my biological clock! I literally lose track of time! Didn’t sleep enough for days. Morning – Afternoon @ Macpherson. Evening @ Mac. Night – Morning @ East Coast Park. Ate at Nihon Mura twice. Roller blade, jog, work, star trek. As simple as that. Supposed to go to The Southern Ridge but couldn’t due to friend’s absence. I would really like to go there as soon as possible, cuz if there’s gonna be another UG Camp, I’d very much like to have a hike there.

I’ve finished watching Star Trek Season 1! Can you imagine actors waking up early for make-up sessions from 6.45am to 9am? And spend another 14hrs on the set? And doing that for more than 100 over episodes? Acting is seriously tough job, but it pays well!

The weekend totaly rock! I’ll share it up soon!

My second level of my german course just ended this week. Shall take a break first before continuing next year. German is fun and interesting! Ich liebe es! (I’m loving it!).

Moving on to Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2.

A few more days left to school reopening.
